Class 8, Assignment 5: Programming with JME
JME was making my computer freeze. So I do not have any screenshots of JME.
Class 8, Assignment 4: Exploring JME
While exploring the links for JME only webstart would show for me. The other links brought me to a page where I could download the latest Java software.

Class 8, Assignment 7: World of Warcraft vs JME
JME did not take as long to download as World of Warcraft did. When it came to which one I liked using better WOW took the cake. In my opinion it was easier to use and more straightforward in terms of game play. JME also wasn't working as well as I was hoping it would.
WOW got me engaged into playing. I finally noticed why so many people enjoy playing computer games similar to it. Just wanting to increase my level so that I would be able to get more power ups was all I wanted to do. Now the screenshot that I have does not show me playing but it shows me watching the first video.

Class 6, Assignment 4: Virtual World Affordances for Education and Training
Virtual worlds use in education gives student the opportunity to experience a world that they can feel more comfortable in. In today's society, that is heavily dominated with video games, having virtual worlds to educate makes it more relate able for students. They can sit at home on their laptops or computers and use their time more wisely.
In one article it brings up Blackboard. Being a BC student, I have use Blackboard over and over again. It was helpful to be on my laptop doing work rather than going to the library finding the book seating down and reading said book. I could conveniently sit in my room and get my homework done.
In terms of virtual reality, meeting up with different students and getting work done that I would not have thought to have done was nice to see. In one of my classes I was part of a team that built a mansion and if I'm not mistaking a solar system. Very different kind of experience because in a regular classroom setting building a solar system is a 2-D reality. Also in a classroom most of the work is practical for that class but in a virtual world that work from different groups can be used by thousands of people later on.
Creating something in at VR stimulates "sensory stimuli, whereas presence is context-dependent and draws on the individual’s subjective psychological response to VR." The VR experience just creates a completely different view on education. For a lot of the aspects that are taught in the virtual reality it does not seem as if you are learning something traditionally but the brain socks it up more because of the fact that it can relate this to playing video games.

Class 6, Assignment 3: Sketchup Christmas Tree with Ornaments
After about an 30 minutes I could not figure out how to make a Christmas tree in Sketchup. My computer then restarted so I lost what I had tried to do. I did get one screen shot in my failed attempt at the Christmas tree.
